POS System · counter and trade desk

POS System

Sell at the counter from the same catalogue, pricing and stock the warehouse runs on.

What it is

A point of sale for counter and trade desk sales, reading the same stock record as the rest of the operation

Every sale moves inventory as it is rung up. Account customers bill on their agreed terms, and the day reconciles against the same ledger the warehouse reports into.

The till and the floor never disagree.

A trade counter running the POS system, with the five steps of a sale above it: add items, add customer, apply discounts, process payment and print receipt.

Five steps at the counter

01

Add items

Scan the barcode or pick from the catalogue. Quantities and prices come off the live product record.

02

Add customer

Attach an existing account, or set one up while they wait. Their pricing and terms come with them.

03

Apply discounts

Promotional or manual discounts on a line or the whole sale, inside the limits you set.

04

Process payment

Card, cash, on account, or split across them. The drawer and the terminal both follow the sale.

05

Print receipt

Receipt prints or emails. By then the sale is already posted against stock and the ledger.

02 / What it changes

Quicker to sell. Cleaner to close.

At the counter

  • Staff sell from one screen, without ringing the office to check
  • Stock on hand shows on the till, so nothing gets promised twice
  • Account customers get their own pricing without anybody looking it up
  • The queue moves at scanning speed
  • New customers are created at the counter in the middle of a sale

For the business

  • Counter sales draw down the same stock as web and warehouse orders
  • The day reconciles against one ledger rather than two systems
  • Discounts stay inside the limits you set, not the ones invented at the counter
  • Counter revenue shows up in the same dashboards as everything else
  • Receivables from account sales are visible the moment they are rung up

Ring a sale on your own catalogue

We will set the counter up against your products, your pricing and your account customers.
